#5 Hottest American Female 2008 Olympic Athlete Amanda Beard
Amanda Ray Beard (born October 29, 1981 in Newport Beach, California), is an Olympic-level swimmer and model from the United States of America.
Beard made her first Olympic appearance at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games at the age of 14, while still a student at Irvine High School in Irvine, California.
Beard has won eight US Nationals titles (thrice in both the 200 meter breaststroke and the 100 meter breaststroke, plus twice in the 200 meter individual medley). She was first in a world ranking of 200 meter breaststrokers in 2003.
Her modeling work has included appearances in FHM, the 2006 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, and she posed nude for the July 2007 issue of Playboy magazine. She is a spokeswoman for Defenders of Wildlife, and enjoys interior decorating. Both of her sisters, Leah and Taryn, are swimmers. Amanda placed eighth in the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Celebrity car race in 2006.
In November 2007, Beard made her first television commercial for GoDaddy entitled “Shock”. It featured her “flashing” the seven Olympic medals she won from 1996-2004. Mark Spitz made a cameo appearance.
In April 2008, she joined Fox Network’s popular sports talk program, The Best Damn Sports Show Period as a correspondent, covering major sporting events.
In 2008, Beard participated in an anti-fur campaign for the organization PETA. She was photographed nude in front of an American Flag. The flag in that photograph is hung incorrectly according the the United States Flag Code with the blue field to the upper right.
At the 2008 US Olympic Swim Trials, Beard finished second in the 200 meter breaststroke event, and she qualified for her fourth consecutive Olympics. On 30 July 2008, at the US swimming team’s final training in Singapore, Beard, together with Dara Torres and Natalie Coughlin, were elected co-captains of the US Olympic women’s swimming team.

Allyson Felix (born November 18, 1985 in Los Angeles, California) is a track and field sprint athlete, competing internationally for the United States in the 200 meters. Felix, born and raised in southern California, is also a devout Christian and is the daughter of an ordained minister and professor of New Testament at The Master’s Seminary in Sun Valley, California. Felix sees her running ability as a gift from God, “My faith is the reason I run - it calms my heart and makes everything feel like a lift. My speed is definitely a gift from Him, and I run for His glory. Whatever I do, He allows me to do it.”
In 2007 she became only the second female athlete – after Marita Koch in 1983 – to win three gold medals at a single IAAF World Championships in Athletics.
At just 18 Felix finished as silver medalist in the 200 metres at the 2004 Summer Olympics, behind Veronica Campbell of Jamaica; in doing so set a World Junior record over 200 meters with her time of 22.18. She became the youngest ever gold medalist sprinter in the 200 metres at the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005 and then defended her title at Osaka two years later. At Osaka Felix caught Jamaican Veronica Campbell on the bend and surged down the straight to finish in 21.81 seconds, lowering her own season-leading time by a massive 0.37 seconds. After the final she stated that “I feel so good, I am so excited. I have been waiting for so long to run such a time, to run under 22 seconds. it has not been an easy road, but finally I managed,” said Felix. And as for the future “My next goal is not the world record, but a gold in Beijing. I want to take it step by step. I might consider to do both — the 200 and the 400 meters — there.” She also has plans for the 100m “I like the 100m but it didn’t quite come together this year. I haven’t reached my potential because I have problems with my start. But I haven’t given up on it, I’m still excited to work on it.”

Jenny Adams (born 8 July 1978 in Tomball, Texas, United States) is an American track and field athlete who specializes in the 100 metres hurdles.
At the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton, Canada, she achieved her personal best time (12.63 seconds) and competed in the long jump as well. Her personal best in that event is 6.64 metres.
Adams has been among the country’s top hurdlers since 2001 and is a two-time World Outdoor finalist in the 110h. She was the hottest hurdler on the European circuit in 2001, winning five IAAF Grand Prix meets …was consistent in 2002…Adams graduated from UH in December ’00 with a bachelor’s degree in corporate communications and a minor in advertising…her honors include UH Athlete of the Year in ‘98, ‘00 and ’01…Women’s Indoor Track and Field MVP in ‘98, ‘00 and ‘01…Women’s Outdoor Track and Field MVP in ‘98, ‘99 and ‘00…named Freshman of the Year at Conference USA’s indoor and outdoor championships…she sat out during the ’99 indoor season with an injured heel…member of the honor roll at UH for three years…high school state champion in 100 and 300m hurdles at Tomball High…set class 5A record in 300 hurdles…at the end of the 2002 season Adams moved from Houston and the coaching of Tom and Kyle Tellez to Champaign, Illinois to be trained by the University of Illinois’ women’s head coach Gary Winckler…earned All-American honors as a cheerleader during prep career…appeared on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno on May 14, 2003…in the Olympic year, Adams took up her free time by restoring her kitchen and learning to play the harmonica…Adams’ inspiration to play the harmonica comes from the fact that her track hero, Babe Didriksen, also played the instrument.

Heather Blaine Mitts (born June 9, 1978 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is an American soccer player. Mitts is a defender for the United States Women’s National Soccer Team.
She played soccer in high school for St. Ursula Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio and in college for the University of Florida, becoming an All-American, and led the team to a national title in her junior year (1998). Mitts played for the Philadelphia Charge, a team in the Women’s United Soccer Association. She was also part of the gold medal-winning U.S. Olympic soccer team in 2004 and the U.S. team that finished 2nd in the 2006 Algarve Cup.
In 2004, Mitts was voted as “Hottest Female Athlete” by the users of ESPN.com. She is also a sideline reporter for ESPN2 and ABC’s coverage of Major League Soccer, and is a columnist for ESPN Soccernet.
On May 12, 2007 Mitts tore her ACL in an international friendly with Canada. This injury put Mitts out of contention for the Women’s World Cup in the fall of 2007.
On June 23, 2008 Mitts was named on the 18-player US roster for the 2008 Olympics.

Tom was born in Napa, California to Kristine and Melvyn Tom. Her father was a former NFL Football player. Though she grew up with her mom and brother in Salt Lake City, Utah, she spent her summers with her dad in Hawaii learning how to surf. In 2000, she became the youngest woman to ever be selected for the USA Olympic volleyball team at 19.
Tom attended Highland High School, where she set the Utah state records for career kills (later broken when Utah moved to five game matches, still second all-time). Also competed in basketball and track and was an All-state selection in basketball. She placed third in the state in the javelin as a senior and graduated with a 4.00 GPA and ranked first in her class.
In 2004, Tom posed in a bikini for an FHM magazine article on female Olympic athletes. She was ranked #91 on the FHM 100 Sexiest Women of 2005.
