What is Pho?
Pho is said to have originated in northern Vietnam, and may possibly even have some French influence. Traditionally, pho is broth, beef, and noodles. Americanized versions are garnished with fresh bean sprouts, lime, basil, peppers, and cilantro. Most pho restaurants have extensive menus featuring Oriental delights such as spring rolls, cold noodle dishes, stir friend noodles, and rice dishes. Reno is lucky to have over 10 vietnamese restaurants throughout the region.
