THE GOD OF HELL The Brüka Theatre
THE GOD OF HELL
A zealous and menacing American political comedy
WRITTEN BY SAM SHEPARD
DIRECTED BY TOM PLUNKETT
Brüka Theatre proudly presents the third show of its 2008/2009 season. This uproarious, brilliantly provocative farce brings the gifts of a quintessentially American playwright to bear on a current American dilemma. Written and premiered during the Bush administration, The God of Hell’s aggressive patriotism puts the characters on the defensive, transforming a heartland American household into chaos. Only Sam Shepard could make us laugh, shudder and think at this a send-up of the ‘war on terror.’ This play asks the big questions through the twisted, dark humor of one of our greatest playwrights. The God Of Hell will enjoy its debut performance in Nevada at The Brüka Theatre in Reno.
Produced through special arrangements with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.
