EatsDining Review Big Ed’s
Visit Big Ed’s for a taste of old-school Reno flavor. This is a great greasy spoon breakfast spot, a must try for locals and visitors looking to get off the beaten path while in town. Big Ed’s is in an old brick building on East 4th Street, northeast of downtown Reno. This spot is equipped with a full bar, an open kitchen and a casual wait staff. Big Ed’s is a perfect spot to get away from the crowds on those mornings when you need greasy hangover food, without the wait.
Big Ed’s has a lunch menu that is served into the afternoon. They serve dinner on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Some favorites include the meatloaf sandwich, Philly cheese steak sandwich and hearty burgers. Don’t skip the fries. They are too tasty. Big Ed’s attracts a loyal Reno clientele, with locals who have obviously been eating there for years. It’s owned and operated by Tom Bescup and Frank Feiss. It’s not a swanky place. Go if you are looking for a dark, mellow bar and grill.
