Food for Thought with Dean McBeth

Last night I attended the second annual Food for Thought event at the Joe Crowley Student Union. I selected a Science & Technology table, which was hosted by Dean McBeth (Sr. Interactive Specialist, 12 Horses)and Steven Zink (The UNR Knowledge Center). Our table had great conversations regarding: Millennials in the workplace, the concept of collaboration, knowledge management, the digital divide, and the future of online communication.

Social networking is clearly the way into the future. Resources such as myspace, facebook and twitter (to list a few) will continue to be a more effective method of communication in the future.

The social event last night was sponsored by Nevada Humanities. Reno Passport would like to thank the event organizers.

If you were at the event, tell us about the conversations at your table.
