ASUN (Associated Students of the University of Nevada) and psASAP (personal safety and sexual assault prevention) are joining forces to raise awareness about student personal safety on Thursday, April 9 in front of the Knowledge Center from 10am-2pm. The “Guarded by the Pack” Safety fair will provide information and introduce students to resources to promote their individual personal safety and security on and around campus.

There will be tabling by a variety of university and community agencies spreading awareness on topics such as: sexual health, sexual assault support services, prevention of drug and alcohol abuse, legal services available, and police protection and support services. The fair will include games, prizes and a cake walk to enhance student awareness. Promoting awareness on safety and reducing incidents of personal violence and crime is a very important goal for current UNR students and the community. It will be a time for students and the entire university community to come together in dedication to keeping themselves and others safe.
