THE OPENING OF KNITTING FACTORY CONCERT HOUSE RENO
THE ROOTS TO PLAY GRAND OPENING WEEK

Knitting Factory Entertainment is pleased to announce the opening of Knitting Factory Concert House in Reno, Nevada. The new 1,265-capacity venue will play host to hip hop pioneers (and NBC’s Late Night house band) the Roots on January 1st, 2010 for its Grand Opening show.

The venue is located at 211 N. Virginia Street in downtown Reno, directly across the street from Harrah’s Hotel & Casino. The venue will present the finest contemporary live entertainment. The new Knit will feature two full-service bars, a kitchen, a seated balcony VIP area, deluxe artist dressing rooms and lounge, and will be an all-ages venue.

Morgan Margolis, Knitting Factory Entertainment CEO / President, stated “I’d like to express my gratitude to the city of Reno and its community for embracing our company. We’re thrilled to be here and look forward to bringing new and exciting artists to this venue.”

Added Dean Hanson, the General Manager of Knitting Factory Concert House Reno, “We are extremely excited about entering the Reno market. The city is awesome, and with our partnership with the local scene we expect to take Reno to the next level in terms of live music presentations.”
