They work hard, play harder and are always there to quench our thirst with their delicious drinks, and heavy pours. So let’s raise our glasses to the men and women who are behind the bar whenever we need a cold beverage and a night out on the town! This month we sat down with one of Imperial Bar & Lounge’s finest bartender’s Heather Larican.
RP: Where did you get your experience as a bartender?
HL: I’ve been bartending for six years and my first job was at Chewy & Jugs in Reno but I wasn’t very good. Working in Vegas made me good. I worked at the Bellagio pool bar so I quickly learned the need for speed and consistency.
RP: Speaking of the money, what’s your best night to date?
HL: When I was working in Vegas I made $600 in a three hour shift working a swinger’s porn party…it was amazing!
RP: How would you describe your bartending style?
HL: Fast, efficient, sassy and god damn sexy!
RP: Drink of choice to pour and consume?
HP: Bud bottle and a shot of Jameson…red wine if I’m feeling extra classy!
RP: You’ve worked at Imperial since day one, so what makes it such a great place to work?
HL: Our bosses rule and are the best dudes to work for, everyone I work with is a blast, and the atmosphere and people that party here rock.
RP: We know we can always find you at Imperial pouring drinks or dancing on the bar to DJ Andrew’s sweet sounds, but when you actually have a day off what do you like to do?
HL: Working out, hanging out with my son Zared, or drinking on the other side of the bar at Tonic, Chapel, or Satellite.
