A girl, or guy for that matter, could go crazy–and broke–trying to find something to wear 365 days a year…(Unless you belong to a nudist colony which is a completely different dilemma in itself). Luckily Reno, and all of us fashionistas, have been blessed with the new and affordable clothing mecca called Junkee Clothing Exchange, located at 960 S. Virginia Street @ Center.
This funky, eclectic, recycled and vintage treasure trove of discounted cool HHHHH. Owner and self-proclaimed workaholic, Jessica Schneider’s personal touches are everywhere: from the store front window set up that changes every month to display cool new pieces, to the fabulously large dressing rooms. Plush, comfy “boyfriend-husband chairs” are strewn throughout the store for those that need to take a breather–while the rest of us dig through the endless racks of clothing!
Need to empty out your closet? Junkee is open for clothing buys Monday-Saturday from 12-4pm. They have a buying budget spending cap, so get their early. “Most people walk out of the store with a $10-20 purchase. We like to buy stuff for cheap; it allows us to sell it for cheap so that everyone can afford a great find,” Schneider said. “Everyone should be able to afford a Betsy Johnson dress!”
Junkee is the place for all your clothing, Burning Man, and home decorating needs Monday-Sunday from 11-7pm. 775-322-5865.
RP Fact: Jessica is quite the multi-tasker and business woman…Check out her other projects, including Reno Style, the tv show she created and hosts on KREN Channel 27. Jessica’s interior design company is Decorating with Style
