Local Music 4 Best Reno Open Mic Nights

Reno is full of local talent. You catch the best local talent at several places around downtown Reno that are helping to support and expose people to performers that are talented, passionate and excited to share their craft with others. So whether you are a budding musician, comedian, or writer who wants to practice your act and gain experience on stage, head down to one of the many bars and coffeehouses and entertain us all! You never know who might be there to give you your next big break–or at least a gig for that matter! Here’s a few of the best open mics in the city limits:

1. Java Jungle 246 W. 1st Street, #329-4484

Every Monday of the month, sign ups at 7:30pm, performances from 8-10pm, first come first serve, open format.

2. Se7en Teahouse & Bar 100 N. Arlington Avenue, #348-9526

Every 3rd Thursday of the month. Sign ups @ 7:30 pm. Performances: 8pm. First come, first served. All ages event. Poetry/spoken word format.

3. Dreamer’s Coffeehouse & Deli 17 S. Virginia Street, #322-8040

Every 1st & 3rd Friday of the month. Sign ups @ 6:30pm. Performances: 7-9pm. First come, first served, open format.

4. The Zephyr Bar 1074 S. Virginia Street, #324-9853

Every Monday of the month. Sign ups on a first come, first served basis @ 9:30pm. Performances: 10pm –to close. First come, first served. Open format.

RP Fact: If you’re a first timer to open mic night and get nervous on stage, just remember to picture everyone in their underwear to help ease your nerves. And if you are going to be in the audience, remember to wear cute underwear!
