Nightlife New Bar Strega

There will be a new addition to the downtown Reno bar scene at the end of the June. Owners Michelle and Jeremy Morrow, open their neighborhood bar Strega. The unusual name meaning witch in Italian comes from owner Michelle’s childhood nickname “Strega Piccola” meaning little witch; a family name that has always stuck because of her fascination with witchcraft and its tie to the earth. Located in a converted bungalow style house at 310 S. Arlington Avenue, this new concept bar that is environmentally friendly is playing up the idea of sustainable living and entertaining. The drink menu has something for everyone including beers on draft and by the can, martinis, and a seasonal cocktail menu full of fresh berry flavors for hot summer nights.

According to conversations with the owners, Strega will be the perfect new summer spot to grab a drink with friends. There will be a large backyard patio area, a charming front porch stoop to kick back and relax on, and several rooms with inside seating and a pool table. Strega’s location will make a good stopping point between Cal Ave and downtown. We welcome Strega to downtown and look forward to sipping cold ones in a casual atmosphere.

RP Tip: Open weekdays from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m and weekends from Noon to 2 a.m. Strega will be closed on Tuesdays
