Reno Irish Dance Company to Perform ‘A Mystical, Magical, Celtic Christmas’

The Reno Irish Dance Company (RIDCO) is preparing for their 10th Annual ‘A Mystical-Magical Celtic Christmas’. The Reno Irish Dance Company will perform on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 7:30 P.M. at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts.
The Reno Irish Dance Company is back with their 10th annual Celtic Christmas production, under the direction of Amanda Coulson and starring world champion Irish Dancer, Owen Barrington. Also featured are champion Irish Dancer Laura Holford, Marina Roznitovsky on Celtic Harp, and the delightful Ryan Vettel as the young dancing fiddler.
This year’s production of “A Mystical Magical Celtic Christmas’ tells the story of a young girl played by Therese Curatolo, in search of the “Candle in the Window” the light which represents the true meaning of Christmas. Her search for the truth takes her on an eventful journey from village to village, where she encounters the many different Celtic traditions, customs, and amusing antics along the way. She is enchanted by the adorable “Wee Irish” and overwhelmed by the dynamic hard shoe rhythms and lyrical soft shoe reels of the Company performers.
Bring the entire family for an evening of heart-warming entertainment that warms the soul during this holiday season. This is a show that will surely delight the young and the young at heart.
Tickets for the 10th Annual ‘A Mystical Magical Celtic Christmas’ are available at the Pioneer Center for Performing Arts at www.pioneercenter.com, by phone at 775-686-6600. The Box Office is located at 100 South Virginia Street, Reno, NV. For more information, call The Reno Irish Dance Company at 775-829-7878.

    To All:

Saw it tonight and were overwhelmed by the entire production. Especially amazed, was our daughter Ally, who studied under Amanda at 3 years of age; but was too young to pay attention at the time. Now, tonight, at 5 years, she has been re-inspired to put on the tap shoes. See you soon Amanda. Really awesome!! Thanks!!
