Michael Moore Releases New Film “Slacker Uprising” Free Online as a “Gift to His Fans.”

Slacker Uprising is a gift to the fans of Michael Moore. The film “Slacker Uprising” is a documentary on Moore’s 2004, 60 city tour across the United States encouraging the youth of America to vote. I attended the 2004 University of Nevada tour stop and witnessed the tour first hand. I’m that little dot in the orange t-shirt kind of in the center. I remember the turmoil that surrounded Michael Moore’s appearance on the University of Nevada’s campus. There was a local businessmen who offered the University of Nevada, Reno $100,000 to not allow Moore to speak. There were even t-shirts being disturbed by members of the Student Council that said “Fuck Moore.” Watching the Slacker Uprising film I noted some interesting perspectives brought fourth by both Moore and other artists in the video. Celebrity Roseann Barr had one of the most memorable quotes “The world is our bitch and we should keep on tapping her.”
