Utility Players – The Musical

The Utility Players are Reno’s premiere comedy troupe’s in Reno. Voted among some of the best comedians in 2009, the Utility Players perform a weekly variety show at the Studio on 4th that incorporates improv, sketch comedy, stand-up, musical comedy, audience interactive games and game shows.

On DECEMBER 17TH The Utility Players are premiering their own MUSICAL, with original script, lyrics, and music. The musical tells the somewhat mythological story of the formation of the Utility Players and their dreams of fame and success. The group comes together one clandestine night at an open mic. There they meet the villain of our tale “Guy” who is a horrible stand-up comic that gets booed offstage. With the help of an evil Witch he sets out to take his revenge on the Utility Players and the world. Will the Utility Players be able to save the day?

The Utility Player – The Musical – premieres December 17th at 8pm at the Studio on 4th [432 E. 4th Street]. Admission to this one time only event is by donation in an effort to keep comedy and music affordable and accessible to all.
